Anansi Ashanti stories from Ghana Anansi can be both a spider and a man with a spider's ability and is sometimes seen as a trickster or a teach. Anansi mostly uses his trickes to do something good and when he does something bad, he teaches the consequences, allowing these delightful stories to carry a moral - if lighthearted - message.

Stories include "From Tiger to Anansi" and "Clever Anansi and the Boastful Bullfrog".

Suitable for: Key Stage 1 and 2

Curriculum: In addition to contributing directly to a greater understanding of Black History, these pieces also support the Literacy curriculum.
