Courses help also with understanding of colour, form, texture and pattern, and to increase understanding and appreciation of art and design in a variety of settings, both at home and around the world.

Projects offered include mask making, papier mâché, backdrop design, wall hangings, clay modelling, puppet making & t-shirt painting to name a few.

Theatre Art & Design

This is an excellent workshop for your more advanced and challenging pupils, complementing their in-curriculum design work. It includes backdrop design, set construction, costume design, prop making & programme design.

Set design and construction involves pupils from beginning to end of the process. They will be challenged to examine set workability from the actors' point of view, looking at the play itself and at the limitations and needs of the actors.

It can run along side one of our drama programmes or be used to create a set for an in-school production

Art Enrichment for Black History

Art enrichment activities designed to fit in with Black History Month encourage a refined look at the arts and crafts, their cultural background and origins.

At secondary level there is a sophisticated approach to creating (and recreating) works, using many similar techniques used at a lower level but developed to a higher standard. Pupils are also given a greater understanding of the cultural, social and historical context of the work.

Artist in Residence

Whether your project is a large community based piece or an individual exploration of a specific theme, Caboodle can provide artists to work with your pupils on a one off, weekly or termly basis.
