Creative Writing
ArtPractical, hands on art summer schools teach pupils different techniques through working with various materials. Projects offered include mask making, papier mâché, backdrop design, wall hangings, clay modelling, puppet making & t-shirt painting to name a few.Workshops are designed to help develop creativity & imagination while developing practical, technical and critical skills. Courses help also with understanding of colour, form, texture and pattern, and to increase understanding and appreciation of art and design in a variety of settings, both at home and around the world. Theatre Art & DesignThese excellent workshops for more advanced and challenging pupils, complement their in-curriculum design work. They include backdrop design, set construction, costume design, prop making & programme design.Set design and construction involves pupils from beginning to end of the process. They will be challenged to examine set workability from the actors' point of view, looking at the play itself and at the limitations and needs of the actors. Workshops can run along side one of our drama programmes or be used to create a set for an in-school production.
