Dance in Primary Schools

Introduce your pupils to dance techniques, improve on existing skills and stimulate their creative thoughts on simple choreography with Caboodle workshops for Primary Schools.

dancing improves fitness and posture Our workshops are great for improving general fitness and helping to improve co-ordination. Spatial awareness, mental functioning, confidence and creativity are all
increased through physical exercise.

At this age we place great emphasisis on having fun; developing technique, musicality and rhythm through natural movements and expression.

We can often also incorporate mime and props into routines to add another dimension to performance and improve co-ordination.

Why not use dance to celebrate The Olympics? We can look at styles that represent the nations taking part, or we can create simple routines using the events themselves and the different skills involved as the inspiration for movements.

Our courses help to relieve stress and improve posture. We hope they will also help pupils find greater body awareness and a real sense of achievement.

Courses and workshops are available in a wide range of styles – Ballet, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Street, Jazz, African, Bhangra, Contemporary, Salsa, Tango, Jive, Line and cultural.

Include cultural dance workshops also in your Black History or International Week celebrations.

We also run After-School clubs, enabling your pupils to master techniques and movements over a period of time, as well as creating simple routines or even to put on a show for your parents.
