Healthy Eating
Caboodle Theatre in Education's healthy eating programme is the latest in a line of dual facilitated performances and workshops aimed at improving our relationships with our planet, it's resources and the lives of ourselves and others.
All's Well That Eats Well
This production is supported by funding from The Big Lottery Fund, Charles S French Charitable Trust and Thomas Wall Trust.
All's Well That Eats Well is an amusing dual facilitated performance designed to engage pupils and increase their understanding of the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
The play is set inside a human body and introduces your pupils to Brigadier Brain Box and Major Messenger who are responsible for the smooth running of 'Boy'. Boy suffers from poor concentration, lack of sleep, sugar rushes and lethargy. He is clogged with too much fat and lacks sufficient vitamins and fibre.
Luckily, Brigadier Brain Box is a smart character and with the help of pupils, solutions are found and Boy is restored to tip top condition.
This is an interactive performance and uses film footage, allowing pupils to see daily activities being carried out by boy and helping them to understand the impact certain foods can have on our bodies.
Workshops
Follow on workshops will explore the issues surrounding health and lifestyle, encouraging them to take responsibility and empowering them to make smart choices. They also provide an opportunity to bring in another dimension to the food and healthy living debate, that of Sustainable Living.
Workshops are dual facilitated, offering the possibility of an intense pupil experience and of a high level of pupil interactivity.
Suitable for:
Key Stage 1 and 2
Curriculum
In addition to contributing directly to a greater understanding of Healthy Living, this piece also supports the Citizenship and Numeracy curricula and as a vehicle for the development of pupil ability to research and debate these vitally important issues.Return from
