Mrs Mop
Single facilitated creative story telling and writing
Meet Mrs Mop, your new school cleaning lady, who's had to take a job at your school because the eccentric professor she works for won't give her a pay rise.
Mrs Mop loves a good gossip and who better to tell her about the professor and her amazing and disastrous inventions than your pupils. The story contains many loose ends which provide numerous opportunities for your pupils to create their own fantastic conclusions.
This character gives a wonderful approach to a variety of different literacy projects; for example journalistic style of writing, instructional text, persuasive writing and provides inspiration for your pupils to work on a range of creative writing pieces.
Suitable for: Key Stage 2
Curriculum: In addition to contributing directly to the English curriculum, both these pieces will help in the work of delivering Creativity across the Curriculum.
