Performing Arts in Secondary Schools

Workshops offering the performing arts in secondary schools focus on the three main aspects of theatre - drama, dance and singing skills.

Using a multi-disciplinary approach encourages young people to marry the different skills together, rather than deal with them individually.

Pupils who shine in one particular area can complement that ability by practicing and enhancing other skills. This is an important approach to anyone thinking of pursuing the stage professionally.

The workshops, led by two professional artists, offer inspiring and challenging opportunities for all pupils who participate.

Usually 'themed', tutors will nurture and fine tune creative input from the participants to produce a piece of devised theatre.

In this fun and stimulating environment, pupils can let their imaginations and creativity run wild while learning new skills, making new friends and creating original theatre.
