Physical Theatre/Mask & Movement workshops allow pupils to focus specifically on their bodies and body language, encouraging them to think of how much they can say without the use of speech.

When speech is taken away, pupils - particularly some of the more gifted - can find extraordinary ways to express themselves. Their creativity is challenged and, by encouraging a new outlet for expression, they are helped to find a new medium of communication and story telling.

Pupils learn elements of mime and how to make their gestures larger than life. They discover how to convey different feelings and emotions purely through their bodies without either speech or facial expressions to help them.

In this way also we an help to develope a greater appreciation of the power of our body language, not only on stage but in any social situation and life in general. In this way also pupils can gain a better perception of the emtions and feelings of others based on their body language.
