Performing and creative arts can play an important role in the development of teenagers and young adults. Because they can help to develop pupil confidence and release creativity our workshops can improve the chances of future success both for those who find academic achievement difficult and for the Gifted and Talented.

Workshops at this level are focused and demanding. We look to enhance your pupils's technique in their chosen subject and to challenge them physically and mentally. We encourage them to move out of their personal comfort zones and to strive for achievement, often in ways they could not have foreseen. But we never forget that enjoyment of the arts is paramount.

Many of the performing arts require participants to co-operate with each other. Specialist workshops such as Comedy Improvisation (see Drama) or Debating demand that the pupils pay attention to each other and to general feedback. Physical Theatre courses encourage the reading of body language.

In all cases, pupils discover that reacting appropriately to feedback enhances both their experience and their performance.
