If You Go Down To The Woods
If You Go Down To The Woods is a fun filled theatrical experience aimed at Foundation, Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2 pupils and is suitable for supporting World Book Day, Story-Telling Week or year-round literacy work.
This exciting and energetic performance brings live theatre and music to your school; a wonderful way to treat your pupils or as an alternative to a traditional pantomime.
If You Go Down To The Woods takes place in Fairytale Forest. Meet some of your pupils' favourite characters: Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks & the Three Bears, The Old Woman Who Lives in a Shoe and many more. Our baddy The Big Bad Wolf is causing trouble as usual, but with the help of your pupils, good will triumph and everyone will live happily ever after!
This performance explores and celebrates traditional stories and fairy tales with your Key Stage 1 pupils, but will also help children in their poetry, creative story-telling, writing and narrative work, as well as providing a strong moral message to support many aspects of the pshe syllabus at KS1.
An action packed performance involving just two actors and a lot of very quick changes! A definite feel good performance with a distinctly panto fun flavour!
Suitable for: Foundation, KS1 & Lower KS2
Curriculum: In addition to contributing directly to the English curriculum, this piece will help in the work of delivering Creativity across the Curriculum or just to give your pupils a treat.
